33rd International Competition for Mass Chois of Tolosa (2001)

Opinions of experts after our performance on the 33rd International Competition for Mass Choirs of Tolosa

<< They were so desirous to make it well, that these desire was clearly noticed. When you are still not experienced, the nervous can make that some points of a performance that should go well, seem stressing. But Landarbaso make it really well and the interpretation of "Akerra ken" was of the best of the competition, on my opinion.>>

Javier Busto, president of the jury of the 33rd Competition of Tolosa.

<< They impressed me very pleasingly. The Basque Country was greatly represented by a choir of young enthusiastic, lovers and fond of the choral world, that prepared the programme with a lot of dedication and responsability. They gave the best of themselves on the Competition and I was really pleased with the choir and the director.>>

María Guinaud, International Federation for the choral music, editor of “Música Latinoamérica” and “Earthsongs” and member of the jury of the 33rd International Competition of Tolosa.

<< As president of the Federation of Choirs of Guipúzcoa I am proud of you and happy for us. That a Basque choir could take part at the Choral Competition of Tolosa is a luxury that not anybody can achieve.>>

Jose Mª Aierdi, President of the Federation of Choirs of Gipúzcoa, Basque Country and COACE(Spanish Federation of Choirs).

<< Today I want to confirm again my congratulations for the wonderful performance of your choir. I specially noticed the quality of the voices, very nice and homogeneous. I do like your interpretation of "Akerra ken"(The best one for me)>>

Christian Balandras, Technical Director of the "Florige Vocal of Tours". France (competition of the European Grand Prix of Music).

<< The young singers of Landarbaso perform on a very good way under the direction of sir Tolaretxipi . On the “Gloria” by V. Miskinis they show with security the rhythms and the meaning of the music paper, and on the interpretation of the obligatory song by Garbizu they stood out for the second time. If they have the courage to continue working along the marked way, they have a lot of reasons to get an abundant crop.>>

Miguel Ceberio, Choir director and critic of music
