Iñaki Tolaretxipi (Errenteria, 1972)

Engineering and theacher of the University of the Basque Country, begins
his trumpet studies at the "Errenteria Musical" conservatoire
achiving under the direction of Jose Mª Oiarzabal at the High Conservatoire
of San Sebastian te Title of Teacher. He has coursed at the conservatoires
of Fuenterravia, Lezo, Errenteria and San Sebastian studies of harmony,
counterpoint, piano ...

has taken part in a lot of courses emphasizing these ones: vowel technique
imparted by Herminia Laborde, Guilles Sneider, Franz Brandl, musical
pedogogy whith Maite Oca, choral direction with the great musicians
Carl Hogset, Eric Ericson, Pierre Cao, Laszlo Heltay, Erwin List, Johan
Duijck, Gunar Ericson, Martin Schimit, V. Negreiros, Javi Busto, Miguel
Amantegi ...

was a jury member on the "II Carol´s Harmonizing Competition"
in 1994 organized by the Gipuzkoa´s Choir Federation with the
collaboration of the Tolosa´s International Competition for Mass
Choirs. He has directed other choirs of Gipuzkoa as: Itsasmin, Nahikari,
Ahalegiña, Landarbaso txiki, and since 1991 he is the official
director of Landarbaso Choir. In 1996 he was a member of the prestigious
London´s choir "Joyful Company of Singers" directed
by Peter Broadbent, with him he studies musical direction and interpretation.
n the XXII Béla Bartók Internacional Choir Competition and Folklore Festival (2006) the choir got an award because of the expressive performance of the compulsory piece “Psalmo 126” by Orban.
