Competition for Mass Choirs of Ejea (2nd Prize) 1993
am in Landarbaso Choir since 1993. Exactly I started at beginning of
the year. After Christmas the group continue with the rehearsals, but
for me it was the beginning of a choral and a personal experience.
he
objective of the choir was very clear from the first rehearsal. We were
not only preparing a concert, we were going to perform on a competition
too. This supossed an oportunity to compaire our work with the work
of a lot of another groups from different places.
n
this way we began with the rehearsals. The name of ‘Ejea’
was going to be present in the rehearsals of the next weeks. In those
rehearsals I enjoy with the beautiful ‘Ave María’
composed by Busto (Thank you Javi), and of course we prepare the obligatory
song very hard (the beauty of this songs is certainly on doubt).
clearly remember the firs concert I sang dressed with the white shirt
and the black bow tie. It might be a concert to be secure with the programme,
because we sang exactly the same programme of the competition, but…
what a bad perform!! We did not become more secure. I think we were
afraid , we kept our attention on the competition, we took a bus to
Aragón, and considering the alergic reaction Aitor suffered (Aitor
was the soloist of the obligatory song) , and that we must brought him
to an urgency health center, and change the singer for the cu-cus of
the solo… we tried to relax our nervous, we laughed a lot for
seeing Iñaki with a ‘cachirulo’ (traditional hankerchief
of Aragón that is put on the head), we sang, we were satisfied
of the performance, and it seems that the jury too because we win the
second prize…
here
we began to fill the shelves of our rehearse room, we began to feel
proud of singing… and actually we go on.
